Clutches and brakes
Industrial clutches and brakes are mechanical power transmission devices designed to stop or transfer the movement. Most of the devices used nowadays were invented a long time ago at the beginning of the 20th century. After the time, almost all the manufacturer had been improving their units to make it more efficient, and new applications have been pushing the industries to renovate and improve their solutions.
They may be pneumatic, hydraulic or electromagnetic, and are the key solution in machinery in different sectors, such as cutting and metal shaping with presses, shears, servo presses, folders, lifting equipment, turbines, and many others.
